Example day

Two new papers. Claim the nursing ethics manuscript. Invite Dr. Rao to review (email link, no login first). Yesterday's paper is ready: Accept → Publish. Done before coffee cools. No email threads about "which PDF was final."
Day-one loop
- Open Inbox and claim a paper.
- Assign a reviewer (invite link).
- Accept, ask for revision, or reject. Send a decision letter.
- Publish when ready.
Money, DOI, Stripe, and DOAJ are add-ons under Advanced. Skip them on day one. Why the path stays short →

- Stripe APC. Your Stripe keys, or mark paid by hand.
- DOI. Crossref / DataCite, or local strings only.
- ORCID. Free Public API for lookup / connect.
- DOAJ. Checklist in WJM; you still apply on doaj.org.

Based on research
WJM started as a research paper about how a journal system can run on WordPress. The plugin you install follows that design.
